This Way to Heaven AKA Ben

Ben is a 2010 OTTB gelding. I first met him as a lease in January of 2022. By the time May had rolled around, I'd made the decision to purchase him from his owner in California. He is a LOVELY and uber fancy guy. He raced 9 times as a 3 year old and then was retired. He went to a hunter barn for a few years before starting his eventing career. 

He'd been competing at the Novice level for several years before I got him. He is "the nicest person" as my trainer put it. He is not the bravest horse in the world, but makes up for it in many other ways. 

Our current goal is to move up to training level in the fall of 2022. I'd love to qualify for AECs at training level and go to Kentucky in 2023. 

I'd also like to continue making him into a braver trail pony. And more than anything I'd like to continue to enjoy a sound and sane horse.
