This Way to Heaven AKA Ben

Ben is a 2010 OTTB gelding. I first met him as a lease in January of 2022. By the time May had rolled around, I'd made the decision to purchase him from his owner in California. He is a LOVELY and uber fancy guy. He raced 9 times as a 3 year old and then was retired. He went to a hunter barn for a few years before starting his eventing career. 

He'd been competing at the Novice level for several years before I got him. He is "the nicest person" as my trainer put it. He is not the bravest horse in the world, but makes up for it in many other ways. 

Ben and I had three lovely years together. We had some success at training level but also struggled with sore feet and subsequent body soreness on and off. In early 2025, he returned to his owner in California for a semi-retirement.
