WPF Westerlie, aka Butterball, is a 2017 Hanoverian x Welsh. He's by the Hanoverian stallion Westporte and out of a Welsh Section B mare, Lorelie Socialite. He had done some jumpers and beginner novice eventing before I bought him in September of 2024. I wasn't looking to purchase a new horse when I found him, but I had admired him from afar at JT's barn where he'd been in training on and off for a year. I mentioned my distant love affair to his owner and she mentioned he was for sale. And the rest is history as they say... ;)
He is the perfect combination of sensible but fun. He's an incredible jumper but is also totally content to hack around on the buckle and sneak snacks. We'll see where time takes us, but for now I am just enjoying the heck out of him.
